About Us

Our Story

Arlington Scanner was founded in 2014 with one simple goal: provide fast, accurate, and reliable local news for the communities we call home.

What started as a passion project focused on breaking news and emergency incidents has grown into one of the area’s most trusted independent local news sources. After returning in 2026 with a renewed vision, Arlington Scanner expanded beyond scanner traffic to deliver comprehensive local coverage that keeps our communities informed every day.

Today, we cover breaking news, public safety, weather, traffic, high school sports, community events, and important local stories across Arlington, Mansfield, Grand Prairie, and the surrounding area. While emergency coverage remains at the heart of what we do, our mission has evolved to tell the full story of our community—not just when something goes wrong, but also when something worth celebrating happens.

Our commitment is simple:

* Report facts accurately and responsibly.

* Share information as quickly as it can be verified.

* Serve our community without sensationalism or unnecessary speculation.

* Remain independent and community-focused.

Arlington Scanner is proudly locally owned. We understand the importance of timely, trustworthy information. We believe local journalism matters, and every article, alert, weather update, and sports story is created with the people of our community in mind.

As we continue to grow, we’re investing in new ways to serve our readers through expanded news coverage, in-depth articles, high school sports, weather reporting, and future digital innovations—all while staying true to the mission that started it all over a decade ago.

Whether you’re checking for breaking news during your morning commute, following Friday night football, preparing for severe weather, or staying connected with what’s happening around town, Arlington Scanner is here to keep you informed.

Thank you for trusting Arlington Scanner as your local source for news.

Local Without Limits.
